Chris Hansen (March 26, 1959 - March 10, 2009) is a recurring character in the series. A member of the Network, Hansen is a Dateline host who is known for catching Internet predators. He is killed by Master Chief aboard the Ark.

History

Minisodes (2008)

A personality from Dateline on NBC, Chris Hanson became famous for catching child predators on "To Catch a Predator" and his catchphrase "why don't you take a seat over there?" He confronts Master Chief in the third minisode after Tom Cruise framed him for child porn ownership. ("Minisodes")

Season 2 (2008-2009)

He regularly annoys the King with his random comments that are unrelated to the matter at hand. ("Master Chief Meets the Network") He and the other recruits are left to guard the Arbiter and Cortana, who were captured. ("Master Chief Sucks at Constants") However, they fail, and Chad Warden is executed to send a message. ("Master Chief Sucks at Super Smash Bros.") He eventually claims to "want" the King and sexually propositions him. ("Master Chief Sucks at Computers") He continues annoying the King to the point that he banishes Hansen from the Ark's control room. ("Master Chief vs Hillary Clinton") Eventually, Hansen is held hostage by Master Chief in a standoff, where he is forced to recite embarassing phrases. The King requests that Hansen be put out of his misery, and Master Chief executes him. ("Master Chief: The Second Finale")

Season 3 (2020)

Hansen is one of the many deceased characters who wishes Master Chief luck in his final battle against the King. ("Master Chief Sucks at Everything")
