Cortana is a main character of the series. One of the three main heroes, Cortana is the intelligent female foil to Master Chief and the Arbiter. She is a skilled AI who can both manipulate computers with ease and fight off enemies, such as her sister AI, Hillary Clinton. At the end of season 2, Cortana was presumed dead when the Ark exploded, but recently her friends have begun a campaign to resurrect her onboard Installation 04.
